Having trouble getting your child to wear a face mask in public? Try showing them this new line of cloth face masks from Disney.
The line, which was unveiled April 30 and follows the FDA’s latest guidelines, has face masks with all your child’s favorite Disney characters, including Forky from Toy Story 4, Winnie the Pooh, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Anna and Elsa, Woody and Buzz Lightyear, The Avengers, Marvel and Star Wars characters (including Baby Yoda, of course) and more.
The best part? Disney is partnering with Medshare, an organization that works with medical facilities to give supplies to people in need, to donate one million of the reusable masks to underserved and vulnerable communities across the country. Disney will also be donating up to $1 million of all profits from the sales of the masks in the US, from now through September 30.
“We realize this is a challenging time for families and wearing any type of mask can be daunting,” Edward Park, senior vice president, Disney store and shopDisney, stated in a news release. “Our hope is that Disney’s cloth face masks featuring some of our most beloved characters will provide comfort to the families, fans and communities that are so important to us.”
The face masks are available in small, medium and large sizes for $20 for a four-pack and can be pre-ordered on ShopDisney.com. They are expecting to ship in June.
Disney has been at the forefront of providing joy to families during the quarantine, with a family singalong, virtual fireworks and more. The Walt Disney Company has already donated over 100,000 masks to several states and other forms of PPE to hospitals in need.
